Happy Birthday to ... Me!
August 1st 2008 21:25
Today is my 23rd birthday. My MIL has Calloway for the evening, the husband and I are going to spend the evening at the Shelbyville Horse Show, eating good food and having good drinks. Some of my FAVORITE mommies all chipped in and surprised me with a very nice gift card to Pampered Chef!! Thank you girls, for being SO AWESOME! I love you all!
Since today's my birthday, I'm going to share an awesome dessert recipe. It's so easy, but so, so good ... And great for summer, as it's chilled.
You Will Need
- 1 box of chocolate cake mix (I prefer German Chocolate)
- 1 tub of whipped cream/Cool Whip
- 1 bottle of caramel topping
- 1 8 ounce can of Eagle brand sweetened condensed milk (optional)
- Sliced up fruit, berries, or your favorite candy bar (crushed)
Cook the chocolate cake as it states on the box. Let it cool, poke holes in the cake with the end of a wooden spoon. Pour the entire bottle of caramel topping over the cake, along with the can of condensed milk (if you use it). Cover and refrigerate for a minimum of 4 hours (I prefer over night). Before serving, uncover and top with the whipped cream/Cool Whip and sprinkle fruit/candy on top! Serve & enjoy!
Always,
KT
